OUR STORY
I had the opportunity to plan my first celebration of life for a family who wanted to pay tribute to their father. During the planning, it struck me just how complex we are as people. We are spouses, parents, siblings, children, friends, colleagues, mentors, and so much more. We have unique personalities, interests, and talents that we share with the world. It was phenomenal to be able to appreciate how many different lives this man had enhanced along his journey.

Celebrating the Memories was born when I realized the importance of helping this family honor their father by providing an environment where they could focus on connecting and celebrating those memories with others who knew and loved him best.

Rebecca’s event planning journey began in the backyards of Northern Virginia where life’s milestones were celebrated with heart and creativity. As her children grew, so did her love for helping others create distinctive and personalized events. Together with her best friend, Mara, she launched a successful party planning business and enjoyed the privilege of helping clients create unforgettable memories. Today, her passion has evolved into crafting uniquely personal celebration of life events that ensure that each goodbye is as special as the person it honors. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the world, and connecting with old friends and making new ones. She is always up for a laugh and an adventure, a bit of an adrenaline junky, and a fan of taking the road less traveled. She lives for the big occasions but also cherishes the small ordinary moments that foster genuine connections. Her biggest passion in life is creating memories worth celebrating with the people she loves the most.
